Jennifer Rene Psaki

 Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American political advisor, served as the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021 to 2022. A member of the Democratic Party, Psaki was previously the White House deputy secretary (2009), White House deputy director of communications (2009-2011), spokesperson for United States Department of State 2013-2015 as well as the White House communications Director (2015-2017). Psaki was a contributor to political campaigns for CNN from 2017 until 2020. Psaki began her career in 2001, as a political contributor for CNN. She worked on the elections for the re-elections of Tom Harkin (Iowa Democrats) for the U.S. Senate, and Tom Vilsack (Iowa Governor). Psaki was later named the deputy press secretary of John Kerry's campaign for president in 2004. Psaki was also the director of communications for Joseph Crowley in the U.S. and as the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki returned in 2012 to political communication and was the press secretary of President Obama's 2012 election campaign. 20 Psaki quit as spokesperson for the United States Department of State on February 11 2013. [20] Her hiring in the Department of State fueled speculation that she would succeed White House Press Secretary Jay Carney as he left for the White House,[21] but on May 30th, 2014, it was announced that Josh Earnest would replace Carney. She was named communications director in the White House and continued to perform this role until the end of the year in 2015.
